Why VOTE For Chrissy?

Socially Liberal. Fiscally Conservative.

As a lifelong Chanhassen resident, I know the real joys and struggles of life in Carver County. I am not a career politician and have not held a government position or voted to raise my own salary while also voting to raise property taxes. Bringing an outsider’s perspective is an asset and my well rounded educated and professional background means I can take difficult decisions, analyse them, and make the choice that will best serve our community.

How I Plan To Vote.

For every vote, I will consider these things.

  • Who does this vote help or hurt?  Does it help with affordability? Does it make lives easier? Does it make lives worse for some, while helping others?

  • How does this vote affect our environment? Is this a short-term fix for a long-term problem?  Does it make our air and water cleaner? Does it cause excess noise or light pollution?

  • What is the public's view on this vote? Is this something the public wants? Did I listen to residents about how this decision affects their community? Did the commission inform the public with all pertinent information?

What I Believe.

  • I believe in the goodness of people and that we are all doing our best for our families, neighbors, and communities.

  • I believe in a transparent government, thoughtful decision making, and fiscal responsibility. I was raised to be frugal, to live within my means, and to focus resources where they are needed most.

  • I believe in Free Speech, that every voice deserves to be heard and respected. People have the Constitutional right express their opinions to government officials without being labeled as a “hooligan”.

  • I believe diversity strengthens communities by bringing together different perspectives, experiences, and skills.

  • I believe leadership is about action, service, and accountability

  • I believe in the power of individuals and community. Meaningful progress happens when people work together, and it is important to respect the expertise and dedication of the public, the public servants, and professionals.

People should have a life while making a living.
